taylor's approach

If you’ve followed my work for a while, you know I’m all about capturing soul. The real stuff. The messy, emotional, fleeting moments that become part of our story. And if you’ve ever loved a pet—truly, deeply—you know they are a part of the story.

They’re not just pets. They’re family.

They’re the reason we smile after a hard day. They’re warm fur against our cheeks when we cry. They’re our hiking buddies, couch cuddlers, treat gobblers, and shadow-followers. They know our routines, our moods, our hearts. And one day, we’ll look back and realize they knew us better than anyone.

That’s why I photograph them—not just posed, sitting pretty with a bandana—but in the little ways that matter:

The way your dog’s ears perk when you say “walk?”

The way your cat slowly blinks at you like they’ve chosen you.

The adorable stretch after a nap in the sun.

The nose boops. The zoomies. The quiet.

Every session looks a little different—because every animal, every relationship, is one-of-a-kind. Some pets are curious, others shy. Some take off running the second we start, and some need time to settle in. That’s okay. That’s part of it.

There’s no expectation for them to pose perfectly or sit still. This isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. It’s about capturing your real connection, however it naturally unfolds. Whether your dog is bounding through the grass, your cat is curled into the crook of your arm, or you’re both just sharing a quiet moment—those are the photographs that matter most.

You don’t have to worry about how it’s “supposed” to go. There’s no right or wrong here. My job is to create space for you both to just be, and to document the love that shows up in all the small, honest ways.

That’s the experience I offer—simple, slow, and full of heart.

HERE'S A SESION FROM START TO FINISH WITH TAYLOR--

PET PHOTO SESSION

I'm here to capture the love between you and your pet in a way that feels natural. Here are some of the options I offer for sessions:

🏡 At-Home Session

(Indoors, Outdoors, or Both)

For pets who feel safest in their own space. We’ll capture everyday moments where they’re most comfortable—playing in the backyard, lounging on the couch, greeting you at the door. Perfect for cozy, heartfelt images that feel like home.

🌳 Outdoor Adventure Session

(Location of your choice: parks, beaches, trails, etc.)

Ideal for energetic pets who love to explore. We'll meet at a favorite spot where your pet can roam freely and be themselves. Think walks, runs, sniff breaks, and lots of play—the memories you’ll want to hold onto forever.

🏢 Studio Session

(Studio rental fee additional)

A timeless, clean backdrop for portraits that focus completely on your pet’s personality. Studio sessions are limited and available by request—perfect for a classic, minimalistic look or if you want a little extra control over the environment.

     WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Up to 45 minutes of shooting time
  • Access to my favorite local location recommendations (if you need ideas!)
  • An online gallery with a minimum of 40 digital images to choose from (I'll deliver more if I can!)
  • Options to order prints, albums, and keepsakes

A VIDEO FEATURING A MARRIED COUPLE & THEIR PUPS--

"Because the best memories aren’t posed—they’re lived, and loved, exactly as they are."

What to expect-

Every pet is different, and that’s exactly the way it should be. There’s no checklist they have to follow, and no "perfect” behavior expected.

When we meet, we’ll take a few minutes to let your pet get comfortable with the space, with me, and with the camera. Some jump right into play; some need time to warm up. We’ll move at their pace, letting the session unfold naturally based on how they’re feeling.

There’s no pressure for them to sit still or look at the camera (though don’t worry—I always manage to catch a few of those shots!). The most meaningful photos happen when they’re simply being themselves, whether that’s running wild, sticking close to you, or soaking up every belly rub they can get.

Our time together is about connection, not perfection. It’s about celebrating who they are, in whatever way they show up that day.

I'll be there to gently guide the experience, but really, your bond will do most of the work.
