What to Expect



If you've never had professional photos taken before, don't worry—you definitely aren't alone.

Almost every couple tells me they're nervous or that they "have no idea how to pose." The good news? That's completely normal, and you don't need any experience before showing up.

I'll guide you through the entire session with prompts, movement, and just enough direction to keep everything feeling natural. Instead of standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera, we'll walk, talk, laugh, and create moments that actually feel like you.

By the end of your session, most couples tell me they forgot they were even having their photos taken—and that's exactly the goal.

My goal isn't to create perfectly posed photos—it's to capture your relationship as it naturally unfolds.

I'll give you direction when you need it, but I also leave plenty of room for genuine laughter, quiet moments, inside jokes, and the little interactions that make your relationship unique.

Think less "photo shoot" and more spending an evening together while I document it along the way.

What a Session Looks Like

Every session is a little different, but here's a general idea of what you can expect:

Before your session

• We'll choose a location that matches your vision.
• I'll send over my Couples Session Guide with outfit tips, location ideas, and everything you need to know before your session.
• We'll come up with some inspiration, ideas, and/or some activities to do during your session

During your session

• We'll spend about  60-90 minutes exploring, talking, laughing, and creating a mix of candid moments and lightly guided portraits.
• I'll direct you throughout the session so you'll never feel like you're guessing what to do next.

After your session

• Within a few weeks, you'll receive a beautifully edited online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints of your favorite images.
